Key West, Florida is known as one of the friendliest lesbian vacation destinations in the states. Located at the very southern tip of Florida, its beautiful beaches, intricate coral reefs & laid back atmosphere draw a diverse lesbian community year round.

Bonus: Lesbians also own many of the businesses & restaurants in town.

I went a few years back and can't wait to go again....anyone else been? Where should I stay next?

KEY WEST, FLORIDA

I love visiting Key West... I have been going to Key West since I was 4 yrs old. My parents used to live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL & we would spend once a month camping out in the Keys (Islamorada).

If your a Cerified Scuba Diver, I would suggest you take a dive trip while on your visit, the coral reefs and marine life are beautiful. If you can't swim to save your life then I would suggest you take a glass bottom boat tour instead.

In regard to accomodations, I would say you have to visit PEARL'S RAINBOW HOTEL it's a resort just for women.. no men! It has 2 Heated Pools with pool side bar, 2 Hot Tubs, it's own Resturant.

As far as Events:

The Gay Pride Fest. is for 8 days of fun, frolick & partying (Which past already June 6 - 14, 2009): Pridefest Key West

Women's Fest. Sept. 8 - 13, 2009: Women Fest
I haven't attended this festival yet, but will be looking into going this year if finances are in order!
Only wished it was around the same time as the Miami's 25th Anniversary White Party, then I could have killed 2 parties with one visit

A MUST visit is for you guys to attend the Fantasy Fest. (Oct. 23 - Nov. 1, 2009): Fantasy Fest
I have attended this Festival with a few Gay Guy friends of mine and boy did I have the time of my life!!!
