I have never dated a friends ex... But there was this girl that I was liking... and well she happened to meet my ex and they started dating... Well it was more than just dating... it stung ALLOT... that was a major kick in my ego gutt... but I figured I was better off without either of them... Now my ex is my LDR text friend... Happy it is just that... as I think about it keeps me connected to my past so I can be reminded of what not to do as I head into my future...

Heck if we didn't date any of our friend's exes... Our dating pool would be more like a 2 person hot tub.
I'm not saying it's right ... it's just a fact. Within our community, you usually dont get past 3 degrees of seperation. (even if you arent aware of it at the time you begin dating someone) So dont get all territorial...just remember ....Caring is SHARING !

Yes, especially if there is a sincere connection and it's for all the right reasons. If your friends ex is your potential life partner, then go for it. If your friendship is tight enough she might understand and want you to be happy. It's a messy situation.

I would say yes, because that is how I got my wife....we are all still very good friends, it was never an ugly thing, we were all adult about it, and ultimately, we all wanted each other to be happy in the end.....

i would say no, cause i've seen people who've lost really good friends because of their friends dating an ex.

but i've actually hooked up with a really good friend's ex and to be honest i wouldn't have had i felt no connection and spoken to my friend about her first.

..so really it depends on the connection with that friend and the connection with the ex who you have a thing for.
