Stay Calm
She’s much better at reining in her aggressive impulses than you are. You created a scene and she responded calmly to someone's rudeness. If you're out and someone insults you, don't fly off the handle and start yelling or let it ruin your evening. Instead, consider the context and behave gracefully.
Pen Something
She excels in coming up with the perfect words, knowing exactly the right thing to say, sending great cards and love notes. You on the other hand, have the vocabulary of a 5th grader.  All is not lost. Write her a poem... or at least a cute email. Woo her with the though that you took the time and made the effort.
Cheer Lead
If she had a tough day at work or a disagreement with a family member: try a pep talk without taking sides, give her a soothing back rub, run her a warm tub or maybe just give her a long hug. You can't change the way she feels, but you can definitely show her that you support her.
